A key benefit of the IKO system is its flame-free installation, removing the need for naked flames on the roof and reducing the associated fire risk during the works. Our team brought extensive specialist experience to the project, with an experienced felter with more than 25 years’ experience installing the system working on the scheme.

The high-level roof needed to be completed during the summer holidays, creating a tight three-to-four-week programme. Effective planning and coordination enabled the works to be completed on schedule, with the scaffolding removed and the site fully cleaned before pupils returned for the new term.

Careful site management was maintained throughout, with designated delivery procedures and a secure working area put in place. The senior roofer also provided daily updates to the school’s facilities manager, including details of the number of operatives on site.

We maintained regular communication with NELT throughout the project, providing progress updates and submitting the required paperwork and work permits at the end of each week. This ensured the Trust and school remained informed throughout the programme.

The completed works have provided Teesdale School and Sixth Form with renewed roof coverings designed to deliver improved durability and long-term protection.

The project builds on our established relationship with North East Learning Trust, following several successful schemes delivered across its estate and demonstrating our ability to execute specialist roofing programmes safely, efficiently and within demanding timeframes.
