Situated in the countryside of County Durham, Binchester Fort is approximately six and a half miles north of Bishop Auckland.
On the site, excavated remains of part of the large built-up Roman Fort from around AD80 can be found.
Durham County Council appointed the company to undertake the roofing to a new build tourist information office located in the centre of the fort
- To create a roofing structure that is both environmentally beneficial and sustainable. Britmet tileform – a lightweight tile effect roofing system was recommended and installed.
- Durham council requested the team fit timber trusses, a breather membrane, counter battens and Britmet metal sheets across the whole roof area
A simple but aesthetically pleasing project delivered in an extremely pleasant environment
