Personal development runs throughout the business from our administrative team, apprentices, contracts managers and senior management. Many of our employees began their careers with us and have become contracts managers, now mentoring our young apprentices.
Learning new skills is something we instil into all our people and we very much encourage and support all members of staff to keep learning. For example, one of our contracts managers has been fully supported to study for an HND to help further his career.
All apprentices are encouraged to pursue areas of personal fulfilment. For example, one of our third year apprentices represented the North East in the SkillBuild, Slating Roofing and Tiling competition, run by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. It is a way to measure progress and become a role model for the younger apprentices.
We are a dynamic, forward thinking company, our employees are actively involved in groups such as The Be Fair Committee and our Social Values Committee and all are passionate to promote best practice throughout the workplace.
