Having been at the company for a few months now, I am really enjoying my role overseeing the utilities department.
I have a wealth of experience preparing tender documents, undertaking cost analysis and allocating work to contractors. There is a great deal to do as I am working on a range of projects.
I studied quantity surveying at Northumbria University and came away with a degree. I have steadily progressed my career, first with Northumbrian Water where I was for 10 years and then, more recently at Colas.
Hodgson Sayers appealed to me as it was a fresh challenge with a high achieving SME. It also provided me with the opportunity to work alongside a very experienced senior management team and that was something I did not want to miss.
I would like to thank everyone for the very warm welcome. I am sure that 2018 will be an exciting year as I immerse myself further into the role.
John Sayers, managing director, Hodgson Sayers, said: “Sharron is a great addition to the team and we are delighted she accepted the challenge of leading the utilities department. We look forward to supporting her as she makes her mark within the company and the sector.”
